I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. As long as I can remember, I have loved houses and all their unique characteristics. In fact, my dad is an artist, builder and designer of homes-and has done lots of remodeling down through the years- and it has had a big influence on me and I learned a lot. I grew up in a 1914 house that we all worked on together- transforming it into a historical masterpiece. We then remodeled a 4400 SF house on Bull Mountain in Tigard on an acre of land- building our own swimming pool among other things- doubling it's value in just a few years. I fell in love with the process of restoring and remodeling homes when I was young, and since I've been married, my husband and I have remodeled 2 houses on our own- the last one we just recently sold and it is on our website, listed as Holladay St.

When I was 14 I started teaching piano. My mom had her own school, teaching kids from first to eighth grade- I helped her teach. There were a few students who wanted to learn to play piano. I loved the piano, so I began teaching for $6 per hour! I taught piano for the next 15 years- all over the west hills and the east side. I gave recitals twice a year and had more students than I needed. But when I saw how much fun real estate was, I decided to start phasing out my piano students. I got my real estate license in the spring of 2005, and have been doing it full time ever since. Because I had taught piano all over Portland, driving to my student's homes to teach, I have become really familiar with a lot of the Portland neighborhoods. I always loved going to all the different areas - and learned a lot about different styles and characteristics of homes in the Portland area- absorbing the feel and personality of each neighborhood and the people who live there. This helps me a lot in my real estate because each neighborhood in Portland has it's own feel, and it's important to convey that, both in listing a home, and in helping a buyer find the right home.

I am a real go getter. As I said, I started my own business teaching piano, and have been doing very well in my real estate business as well. I have found that my heart is with selling houses, since I love everything about it- , looking at them, analyzing them, staging them, working with people, negotiating repair issues so that everyone is happy, and all around just helping my clients have a positive experience.

Since I am an artist, I love staging and creating awesome photos that show off a home's best features. I like thinking about what will really sell it and set it above the others. Every new house is a challenge to me, as I figure out how to bring out it's unique and appealing qualities that will show it off at it's best. I have been told I have a real eye for what people are looking for in a house. This helps a lot when it comes to giving my clients advice on how to improve their home before listing it- being as I've done it, know what will help sell it, and have a good idea about how much time, work and money it would take to complete.

I love working with people -making sure everyone is happy, and helping them get what they want. I work hard and will do whatever it takes to sell your house for the best possible price in the least amount of time.

It is also important to have an agent who is organized and will be on top of all the contracts and deadlines. I will help you through all the paperwork, explaining all the details so that you will feel completely comfortable with everything. Being a teacher for so long, I'm used to doing that.

I strive to be sincere and honest. My mom taught me well! It really makes a difference when you have an agent that cares about you personally! Let me help you through this exciting time in your life, of buying or selling your house!
